QUICK MAKEUP TIP - EYESHADOW

Always test eyeshadows before buying them. The colour and pigment should both be strong - even on neutral colours. Without these two components you will forever be trying to build up colour and intensity and that means using up your eyeshadow way too fast - and no one wants that!

What happens most of the time is that the testers are of really good quality..you try them and they look good..but the actual un-opened product that you will end up buying is a totally different story! Bad quality and hardly any pigment.

I am so glad that you used a MAC example. So many artists and makeup enthusiasts swear by MAC, but they are NOT the only brand of good quality makeup out there. I've had several products that are exactly like MAC if not BETTER and I still had money left over to purchase other things. Wonderful advice!

sometimes i do like to have a more sheer color on the lid though.. it's sometimes nice to have a buildable color because you can have more variety of looks. but yeah, if it's an expensive eyeshadow then i guess it should be worth your money.
