I don't know if it is legal where you are but in the uk (with permission depending on where you go) you can ramble for plants, herbs, fallen wood i think it's good fun and is what i believe to be part of witchcraft imagine what witches did before the internet or shops : )

You can buy air dry clay and make your own deity statues, candle holders and such. Just make sure if u use the right finish... Like if youre using it for fflame, water, incense...

sea salt , bulk spices (whole spices and ground) I have found at our local HEB (large grocery chain.) I have also found live plants there on cleareance that work well in my life. For cloth Walmart has dollar fabric and I have found linen and cotton (100 %) and our local fabric store has 40 to 50 perc off sales. I also look at thrift stores for velvet, silk and other high end fabrics (shirts, dresses, tablecloths ect. ) If something used dosent feel right I dont buy it. same for new.

I like the video. I am a young pagan and on a tight budget with my fiance!

Something I have recommended to younger witches who's parents may not like their path or newfound religion; or are just strapped for cash, is to use a Letter Opener for an Athame. You can get one at Office Max, Target or wal-mart for under $2.00 [$3.00 at the most]. They are generally the right color scheme [silver blade and black or cream colored handle] & are of good proportion in size. They are also VERY, VERY discrete. Who would question a letter opener in your possession?

@Dix994 Another way to save is go to Michaels or Rite-Aid [for example] after a holiday, such as the 4th of July [if you live in the U.S.], and look around. I found boo-coodles of white, blue & red candles pkgd together for the 4th and after the holiday they were on sale for something like 20 for $1.25. About the only thing I pay any real money for [in my spiritual life that is] are books & that's just me being frivolous. Goddess bless you on your journey.)O(

I utilize both the dollar store and the thrift store for my supplies :) Frugality is the pagan's best friend :P (and the wallets too)

like wise. I even go to my Value village and find all sorts os unused roles of fabric to turn into sacets and back and altar clothes!

i would NOT buy incense from the dollar store, it wouldnt work at all! they wouldn't be made of the appropriate materials, nor would they even smell like them.

well now. that is your own personal choice isn't it? Many people are able to find nicely perfumed incense at dollar stores.

The people who said that "you're not putting enough effort into it" are the same people who are 'into' this' just to see what cool knives and cloaks they can get, and probably pay a small fortune for their wand. Ignore them, I think you give great advice.
