Parts One-Five: In Part Four of the Medium of the State Oracle of Tibet Series, Robert Thurman further elaborates on the impact of global warming both in Tibet and around the world. Thurman translates for the Tibetan Oracle from Tibetan to English language information about basic Buddhist practice including reflection on the enemy within. There are ways to overcome anger and hatred towards others, Thurman explains, and compassion is essential. When we exchange self for other, or give up self-cherishing attitudes, we realize there is no real difference between friend and enemy. Friends become enemies and enemies become friends—and so it is important to reflect on the uncertainty of friend and enemy.
