Here's my first video! This is my best lap at the famed "Complex String" course for the PS2/Polyphony Digital video game, Gran Turismo 3 A-spec.

While there are many who have better times, this is the best I could do... to this point.

Notice I did this with an Auto-Tranny, using the shoulder buttons to over-rev. I hit the limiter in 4th leading into the up & down esses (just after T3), and could do a little better in the front esses and boxed sections. The biggest gaffe was missing the turn-in for the final chicane. I crossed @ 149mph.

Needless to say, on a 7-mile course, there's always time to shave, and I haven't made many attempts since switching to Manual Transmission... Stay Tuned???

I typically take whatever vehicle settings the game gives me by default. I've also switched from AT to MT. The use of the Joystick is not a viable option for me, since it sometimes gets stuck in a certain direction.  My thumbs would certainly appreciate it, but, truth be told, I'm much more comfortable using the D-Pad & Buttons. Other than that, thanks for the view & comment! Have a great drive!!

Lol, I appreciate it, but No Way.. Felipe Massa is a World Class Pilot. I'm simply a dork who has A LOT of time to spend practicing on this simulator. But I'd love to know what kinds of times those guys (F1 drivers like Hamilton, Raikkonen, Alonso, Kubica, etc.) they would be able to post using a DualShock2...??

To change the tranny from auto to manual, go to the Options screen. There will be a menu that allows you to switch it there.

Excellent driving skills. Decided to start GT3 from scratch today. TT10 was the first thing I went to :D Got a 4:48. 1st place time is a 4:49, as its the PAL version. I believe the NTSC's 1st place time is different?

I do believe I got the best time in the world in this exact time trial and I hope to post a video of the time soon I can't remember the time but i did thrash yamauchi!
