I couldn't agree more with you guys! This was BY FAR the best lineup Gold City ever had! I got turned on to them while deployed to the Gulf War in '90-'91. It sure helped me forget my surroundings. As a barbershop quartet singer, I truly appreciate their talent. Thanks again for posting these great classic videos!

Where's Garry Jones on piano?

oops Tim was un sure at about 2:30

My favorite version of Gold City too- Brian still hits those high high notes- saw him last year and what a blessing he is to us all.
Ivan is a great singer and I have enjoyed his solo ministry too.

I realize that there are financial restraints hindering live band quartets in this economy but if you want to enjoy live band music you have to get off the wallet and support these groups !! There are still a few out there, support them !!

The best singers Gold City has ever had in my opinion! Brian still sounds the same as he did in 1992

Gold City at its best - Brian, Ivan, Mike, and Tim.... (:

Most quartets and trios would love to have live bands. It has nothing to do with if they would like to have one, it's all about the money! It takes a lot more money and a bigger bus to support a live band and in this economy it's hard! I promise if it wasn't so expensive than they all would have one!!!

@stevenondrums I agree! I really hope that some of the steps that some groups are taking will inspire others to start bringing back the bands. The kingdom Heirs, the Crabbs, and now the dove brothers are bringing out a band (a rockin one too!) I hope it spreads!

@sgpianoman Good answer Steven! haha
This is by far the best version of GC. I am a huge fan and love the group today but this is my favorite. What great memories. Thanks for sharing.

Steve, I agree with you 100%, groups with live bands are rare these days. You cannot get the same feel in these klind of groups with "recorded" music and "Live" vocals. Give me The Hinsons, Hemphill's and Kingsmen with live bands in their hay day and it couold not be beat.
