@anarmehtievful there is only one type of 'palestinians'. The ones invented in the 60s. They are all arabs. The palestinian mandate was no 'palestine'. It was a chunk of land the western powers named randomly. 'palestine' was a word popular in the west, not among arabs. The 'palestinian' people was invented to serve political goals.

@topperheartramada There are two types of palestinians: Those from nowaday Israel, and those from Nowaday West bank and Gaza and Jordan. 50% of Jordanians are Palestinians. Jordan was caleld the East Bank until it was seperated from Palestine during the British Mandate.

@topperheartramada Southern Lebanon was part of Plestine until the British gave it to the French during the Mandate period. The Palestinians existed in Lebanon before 1948, and there are lots of mixed marriages between the two peoples. In fact, the Lebanese are extremely close to the Palestinians than to the Syrians in terms of dialects, cuisine, traditions, culture in general as well as DNA which dates back to the Phoenician times.

Many Lebanese are of Palestinian origins to include: Majeda Roumi, Diana Haddad, Iwan, Fadl Shaker, Maronite Patriach Khreish, Nazek Hariri, Mona Hrawi, Mai Selim...etc. Why don't these two Phoenician people live together in peace!!! Phalanges created discrimination in Lebanon..and brought its end...very sad to see the Pearl of the East shatter over silly issues..

The Phalanges of Lebanon brought the end of Lebanon. Its very sad to mention that the modern Lebanese & Palestinians have more mixed marriages than with Syrians or Jordanians. and both of them are descendant of the Phoenicians (Canannites). Lebanese are not aware that 40% of the Palestinians are Christians, while other 8% Jews, & there are many Druze, Bahai's. 51% are Muslims Sunnite and Shiites. Many Palestinians are Armenians, Assyrians, Turks, Greeks, Bosnians, Persians, & Albanians roots.

But the civilians whom Bachir ordered to murder in Nab3a,Karantina,Black Saturday,Ehidin werent PLO fighters,but Lebanese Muslims & even Christians.

Lebanese were always politicaly,socialy,& culturaly divided;note the 1860 war btwn the Druze & Maronites,& the 1958 civil-war.Now there r 2 coalitions;namely 8 & 14 March who r at the verge of war since 2004.There is freedom of speech but no political democracy.If there was democracy,the parlament would be 70% Muslim & 30% Christian.
