@BBdaWolfy Excellent post. Thumbs up.

Of course you were thinking of poems, don't all portland hipsters do that?
-
@asystolgod I've heard Gov. T McCall's quote—I'd pay some serious money to have that clip in a sound file, . . .
-
@beats1969 It's an expression. I feel the same way about people who type in all caps.

ANYONE WHO CALLS ANY CITY "THEIRS" .....DOESN'T BELONG .

@asystolgod SO RIGHT ! DON'T WORRY , THESE PEOPLE WILL LEAVE ! IT WILL BE COZY AGAIN . SMASH THE PEARL DISTRICT AND PUT BACK THE FACTORIES ! 15 PORTLAND YEARS !!

Yes, Portland is expensive in every aspect (but they do have the max). Many people i know live just outside, north in the state of Washington but though it's less expensive there--it isn't if you own a car or two (for they have a "wheel tax").

I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH! YOU are an ANGEL

Stop hating on Portland guys. I admit I'm a true Oregonian and I love it! But a whole conversation about the pros and cons of Portland...KEEP PORTLAND WEIRD! ;)
"Visit Oregon, just dont stay!" Tom McCall Governor 67-75..funny thing about Tom is that he was from Massachusetts! ha ha ha! that statement was primarily focused towards Californians. Oregon is becoming overpopulated. The I-5 interstate is the worst thing to have happened to Oregon in the last 50 years. Also the lack of any population control is ruining Oregon! How would you feel if you couldn't afford to buy a home in your hometown due to outside interests buying up everything?

@asystolgod I've been here for a couple of years now. When I posted this video I was looking to return to Portland. I had lived there for 13 years. I love it. No place like home.

a note to anyone wishing to move to Oregon. You will be welcome here if you can exhibit independence in your thinking and not be one of the herding mentality urbanites who are currently ruining our great state.
If you follow politicians or enviromentalists wtih blind faith, you are not welcome here. We are quickly losing the independence and critical thinking that made Oregon great. In its place we are being infested with people who are more concerned about style instead of substance.

Oregon has never treated me poorly. I lived there for 13 years...I should have made it clear I was RETURNING to Portland.
Big Fan...feels like home here.
