David Sylvian - The Heart Knows Better (Montecristo Remix)

This is my latest remix. I am aware that I am an interventionist (possibly more than most DS remixers) and therefore not everyone feels comfortable with what I do, but this is what the original track elicits in me and in my view there is no point in doing a remix that is very similar to the original. I personally enjoy the process of "making it" and coming up with solutions, so the more distant from the original, the better; it becomes a bigger challenge. I have no intention to improve DS's work (I couldn't anyway) it is just my expression and what the track says to me, I suppose it is an act of love towards his music and respect for his unshakable integrity. Apologies to the ones that feel I disrespected the original.

DOCMONTECRISTO....This lives up to your very lucid description, and while I personally don't listen to a lot of remixes across the board, and particularly of D.S 's work, simply because it can't really be improved on, as you say, but YOUR IMAGERY IS TOTALLY STUNNING, AND INCREDIBLY POWERFUL dare I say DEVISTATING in parts. It does perfect justice to David's words. GOOD JOB AND MUCH RESPECT !!

A friend of mine just posted this on Facebook, and I am utterly astounded...it appears you do several remixes of his songs. Being a newcomer, I look forward to checking them all out. I hope there is a remix (if such were even possible) of my all-time favorite Sylvian track, Before the Bullfight...and if not, maybe you will be inspired to create one. Either way, great work--very inventive, alluring & hypnotic.
