This is just something I found recently - I think it's interesting, some might disagree :P

It was in the "Afternoon Keynote" section, towards the end:

  • Just had a flick around the site, really good idea imo

If I had the money it's something I'd even think about investing in to help them grow

  • @Scarletpooky - don't feel a fool ♥ I think it's a good idea too, in theory anyway... for me, what it boils down to is the way the charity game is already pre-rigged, it's hard to find strong atheist orgs and charities, and certain groups can't even get the 501(c)3 status because they are said to be "promoting criminal activity" - prostitution, drugs etc., mostly exclude on advocating harm reduction methods over prohibition... also a bit icked out by the selling of donater data

  • @Scarletpooky Even without FW's research, one of the things weakening fundraising for charities is these damn for profit vultures leaching off them.

  • Charity is only 2.2% GDP?!

That's depressing... Considering that 25% of taxes is spent on.... WAR.

If the Average American wasn't taxed ~50%+ of their income I'm sure charitys would get at least 10% GDP...

Call me a libtard all you want...

  • @Divinity33372 It's a shame. It's an idea with good potential to help charities if it was done properly.

  • @Divinity33372 doh, ok I feel a fool now. Just goes to show the power of a speech and not investigating deeply

  • @Scarletpooky watch her last 2 videos.
