This shot is actually a "reject" from an earlier video, but it does illustrate a problem with the Diesel Tsunami if the loco momentarily loses electrical contact, it will often resume at high speed (if the throttle is close to max). This occurs towards the end of the video.

  • Marbel,

at 0:43-0:44, is that the sound of you or someone laughing?

  • No it is not laughter. It is the camera lens cap banging against the camera after I panned to follow the movement of the train.

  • LOL so funny!

  • HOLY CRAP!!!

  • HAHAHA

  • Consider adding some tongue-and-cheek to this vid. Edit in the sound of a car taking off "burning rubber" at the point where your locomotive takes off! That'd be a riot :-)

  • Wow, it Took off like my 79 Trans Am used to! Good thing that this wasn't a 5 unit lashup with a 50 car coal train coupled to it!

Thanks for posting. Hopefully Soundtraxx will have a solution for this little quirk soon. The sounds are quite crisp and beat MRC hands down.

  • LOL, you should have inserted the sound of a giant explosion after that thing shot out of view. Like a big Jet crash.

  • I still love my decoder. <3
