  • one question how the hell do you keep all your camera and video camera batteries charged? do guest houses on the way have all power supplies one can use at any time?

  • @ioplk90 Yes, the tea houses have power outlets. You need to pay for it though! Generally, the higher you get the more expensive things become. Cheers

  • coul you please tell me the name of the background song , itss really awsome...

  • The song is by a band of which our guide was part of. I know the song is called "jaagay" and i think the bands name is spelt "KOHO" but am unsure as the cover art is in Nepalese?? If i can find out more i'll let you know! Cheers

  • Nice vid! I walked from Jiri to Base Camp and back to Lukla in 1994 alone..it was a slog(4 weeks of dahl bhat and boiled spuds)..the views are something you will never see in other parts..but the Tibetans walking to India to see the Dali Lama impressed me the most..months walking to see him..dressed in their crimson wraps..something special..

  • I'm leaving next week. Traveling with a guide and a porter. I'm 58 and a bit creeky, I sure hope that I can do it! love Buddhism and love the Himalayas. I feel blessed to live this dream.

  • Glad that I went in 1979, it was quiet, and unspoilt, with no tourist/travellers which seems the norm these day and everyoner seems to go to Lukla for some reason. Flew from Khathmandu to

Pokhara and started the trek, basing ourselves initially at Phew lake in basic lodging. No guides, no mules, no porters, just our rucksack and essentials. Trecked for 7 days up to Poon Hill getting up at early dawn to catch the sunrise over the Annapurna Range towering above and behind us, an awersome sight.

  • @jarhuuz but not expensive enough for a European or USer i guess :P
