Each year, for their final oral "exam," Beginning SEASSI Khmer language students prepare and present skits in which each student in the group must speak Khmer for 2.5 minutes. This one was the big final for 2009, featuring a song composed in Khmer by the students (using popular melodies) to describe each of their eight weeks at SEASSI. In-jokes abound!

  • i really have no idea about this play, but it's funny and well done

  • haha, well, there are a lot of "in jokes" that only make sense to those of us in the program that summer!

  • @preahko why do you have to write with your butts?

  • @richardlong85 haha, that was taught to me by a group of Cambodian doctors and other health care professionals to whom I co-taught a seminar on AIDS education in Poipet in 2003...we would do warm-up games every day, and one of the workers taught us the butt-writing thing as the punishment for the losing team. not sure where she got it from!
