Brandon's story

Brandon was born more than four months prematurely, weighing just 1 pound, 13 ounces. He has cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus, a condition that occurs when too much fluid builds up in the brain. Hes undergone nearly 30 surgeries at Gillette, and a surgically implanted shunt helps drain excess fluid from his brain. In addition to his surgeries, Brandon receives physical therapy two to three times each week at Gillettes Burnsville Clinic, near the familys home.

What a wonderful young man Brandon has grown into. I was very happy to finally meet him a month or two ago.
