Anime English Dubbing Sucks

I received lots of emails asking why i dislike English dubbed Anime, this video basically explains why.

Too lazy to edit so you will see me stop 3-4x trying to say something haha.

They do, and I'm fully aware of it. But like I said in a previous example, one bad company does not represent the entire dubbing industry. There are many good dubs (Cowboy Bebop, BECK, Deathnote, etc.), that come from dubbing companies. What I'm against is the claim that "all English anime dubs are bad," which is not true by any means.

@Pinochimon This is a response to both comments.

1) I'm mad because the user I'm responding to recycles the "subs are better, america sucks" comment. He's not making logical points, and he's using xenophobic tropes to support him. And I dislike hate like that.

2) Reading is not the way is was meant to be watched. I will if I have to, but I prefer to watch in my native tongue to soak up the experience.

Part of me hopes that Madhouse produces an OVA based off the manga extension, and another part is satisfied with the ambiguous ending the series left.

@Bradax24 Hm, it's been about a year so I might not recall it too well. Maho left for London or something, and Koyuki returned to and thought she was cheating (a bit after the American tour, or maybe before?) And Eddie ends up dying is all I really remember specifically.

@zackfair73195 Yeah, I heard the live action wasn't very good........a faithful Hollywood adaption would be interesting come to think of it.

What parts are added to the manga compared to the anime? I heard from a friend that they tour the U.S. and become successful?

@Bradax24 Oh, the manga is about 30% longer than the anime, and it's actually pretty good. I love how each chapter cover parodies a famous album cover. The live action wasn't so great though.

I haven't read most of the manga though; seeing how good the anime came out, I find it hard to imagine reading BECK. XD

@Bradax24 Yeah, BECK revived my interest in music and especially guitar. It's definitely in my top 3, I even read all of the manga despite how badly translated it was.

It so hard to find a person who's watched and liked this fantastic show. Easily one of my top favorite anime, maybe even my #1 favorite.

And it's odd coming here after a month to see that my comments are the top comments. I appreciate the people that agree with me, and the people who don't but still respect my argument. ^_^

@armsofundertow98 There's no logical proven fact that is it is "better", but like I said everyone is entitled to their own personal opinion and it all comes down to whether or not that person finds it good, bad, etc.
