Porsche sells a lot of 911 Cabriolets in the U.S. (it's the largest market in the world for drop-top 911s), so no surprise that Phase II of the 991-generation rollout happened on our soil, with the automaker revealing the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.

  • Sehr gut aussehende Autos.:)

  • they changed the back of the car so it only holds the American number plate. Why the fuck would you do that??????????????????? $97,0000. Go fuck yourself!!!!

  • @Erunestian i agree with you on that !, if they left the 911 alone with that trademark porsche design, then it'd probably be much better, maybe it has to do with Porsche as a brand bringing out so many models (Cayenne, Panamera, Cayman etc.) in recent years that all basically took heavily from the classic and iconic 911 and its design language. they all have almost the same"face" i guess that's why i feel it is "too much". to me the 911 is the only true Porsche anyways. greetings from germany.

  • @CHUUMPASS Probably I would agree with you for any other car but the 911 is something very special... I really hope for a more radical redesign for the Panamera because right now it isn't that beautiful. The same I would say about the Cayenne. But the 911 we love it the way it is. I also love the way you can see the first 911 when you look at the current one... :)

  • @Erunestian well, then, good for you! indeed some don't quite "get it" if you like the design and worship it as the "most beautiful in the whole wide world" that is a highly subjective matter, and your personal preference, no point in arguing about that at all. i never said the 911 looked ugly or bad, still it is very strange to see a recycled design over and over again, that hasn't anything to do with "radical redesign" but rather with the disappointment that a brand can't seem to move forward.

  • @CHUUMPASS Like I stated in the previous comment, but you seem not to get it, it's about the splendid design. For me the 911 is the most beautiful car in the world, of a beauty that is almost more than you could expect from a car. This is what every Porsche fan sees in a 911 and that is why we don't want a radical redesign. It's nothing about brand worshipping, but that's what you see into it because you can't get it...

  • @Erunestian so let me cut it short, you are basically just saying "us brand whores are going to buy Porsches even if they continue to dish out the same old warmed-over design for another 45 years to come" ... well, call it ignorance when someone finds that rather odd and points it out, i call it plain idiocy to deny it!.

  • @CHUUMPASS You're comment just shows how ignorant you are. People who buy Porsches buy them especially because of their their design which shows heritage, tradition, pedigree... With every redesign of the 911 every true Porsche fan is worried that they might destroy the car! We don't want you kind of change. You can have your Lamborghini.

  • Looks the same as it did over 10 years ago. :/

  • hell yeah, now I have enough space for my pet chihuahua
