It was probably the E-3 Sentry (AWACS). Maybe they were working on/repairing/upgrading some vital system(s). I guess that would be worth all the security.

OMG This has got to be the worst job on taping I have ever seen. next time you go to film something, take a course on how to video tape something. Horrible

i can give you a good reason for every bad thing about that job, starting with the fact that they would take my camera if i didnt cover it, to stop myself from filming the plane on the tarmac
