How do you know when to turn the camera to take the snapshot

The shutter is controled by a home built circuit.

The start and stop time of each day is controled by a time switch which also rotates the camera to follow the sun.

Very good! - It would be nice to have that done with a really high quality camera.

The original video is much better than the youtube download. I would not want to put a very expensive camera on the roof for many days, also I had to modify the electronics - something I would not risk with an expensive camera.
