He drove us to a nearby Olive Garden. Hmm. Nice taste in restaurants also. And come to think of it, I was really hungry also. I didn't notice it until I freed my mind of Ian, and everyone's safety and looked at the menu. A few seconds later my stomach growled and I blushed. Kevin smiled.
"Well that was embarrassing..." His smile widened and he laughed.
"Nah... I thought it was cute." This time I laughed.
"You thought it was cute?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Well I meant, its always funny seeing girls being embarrassed over little things, trust me I've had worse." He smiled just at the memory. I returned his gesture.
"Do I want to know?"
"Depends..."
"Then I wont." He chuckled lightly, until he caught sight of something.
"Crap..." I looked up at him. That wasn't a very good sign.
"Is there something wrong?"
"Uh, you could say that..."
I followed his gaze seeing my brothers and the two girls I saw before. What were theyre names again? Kelly and Jordan? Cody caught sight of me and smiled. I wondered if he smiled because he saw us, or if this was the perfect chance to ruin our date. Probably the second choice. I realized I got off with the 'date-talk' before and obviously now it was coming back to haunt me. He walked over to us, with the rest of them following.
"Guess were going to need a bigger table..."
"Hey Bri! Kev. Pleasure seeing you here. Yea, mind if we join in?" I glanced over at Kevin, seeing the same uncomfortable look he had on when he was sitting on our couch.
"Well—"
"Great, thanks." Ugh!?
"No prob." I finished off with a glare, he smiled back being totally oblivious to it. I was definitely planning on hurting him when we got home.
Although I had something else on my mind too when I was thinking about Cody. How exactly did he and Jordan get together? This would be the perfect opportunity to jump at it.
"So Cody, I was just thinking... how exactly did you and Jordan meet and hook up?" They both glanced at each other and smiled. I could tell this might be a long dinner.
"Well," He started off "We first met each other in school. She was in my homeroom, and in most of my classes. She introduced herself to me, and then we just kind of clicked. It was like she was the missing puzzle piece to me." He stopped to pause and smile at Jordan.
"We started hanging out more often, and became really good friends over the next few days. A little after that I asked her out. And so here we are. Boyfriend and girlfriend." Wow, I never knew they just clicked so easily and fast. I wonder if I could ever have a future like that. But knowing me, that may never happen. We talked the rest of time, till our food came. It was Delish! We are just sitting around talking when I got a text from an un-known number. I looked at it.
'I know where you are, who you are, and what you're doing. I'm gonna get you...'
"What The He-" I whispered. Till my phone began to ring... "I'll be right back, I need to take this." I excused myself from the table, walked outside and answered it.
"Did you get my message?" An unrecgonizable voice said.
"What do you want?" I stated in a firm voice, but with bit of fear in it. A message like that is REALLY creepy.
"I want you & your sister, Cassandra, that's what I want... Hahahaha" I hung up, the maniac laughter scared the shit out of me. My phone started buzzing again, same unknown number.
"STOP CALLING ME!?" I shouted.
"Not till I get what I want... you better be careful Brianna... I'm watching you... I'm always watching you..." Then there was a dial-tone. I put my phone in my pocket with a shaking hand. I sat on the curb taking deep breaths to calm myself. I was about to get up, when I hand landed on my should... OMG was my only thought . . .
