Catch Me Chapter 7

OKOKOK. No one kill me please! You have no idea how busy I've been. 5-6 hours of vball workouts everyday for the last 2 weeks. It's been so intense, and school starts soon... I'm gonna post a lot tonight, I promise so please stay tuned. I really wanna make it up to you. Thanks to all my new subbers, and please help me get some more! I love all of you guys. I'm sorry this chapter's so short, youtube lets everyone else post more then me, I swear! Remember, it takes hours to write. Seconds to comment.

I was in shock by her whole statement. Mostly from her not thinking she was gorgeous. Can she honestly not see it..? I find that quite hard to believe, myself. When I didnt answer and just stood there and stared at her she spoke again. "Look, Im not ready to talk about David. But.. You wanna know about me?" I nodded simply, and she replied. "Mmkay."

ALEXIS POV

And we talked. We talked for 2 and a half hours. I dont think Ive ever had a more fun conversation in my life. We talked about everything, and we learned so much about each other. For example, I learned that Joe thinks its a sin to walk on a beach without leaving your footprints in the sand. He has an addiction to Coke. No, not the drug. But the soda. He always has his ipod on him, and he listens to all types of music. He thinks he wants to go to college, but he has no idea where or what he wants to study. He has big dreams, but he refused to tell me what they were.

I told him a lot about myself too. I opened up about what volleyball meant to me. How I wanted it to be my life once I got out of this high school life. I told him a lot about my family, and how theyre never there for me. But I didnt go into detail. I told him I want to move to Texas as soon as I graduate. I told him I have an obsession with rings, but I think he already knew that since I have one on almost every finger.

I loved this casual conversation so much. Sure, it got a little deep at times, but for the most part it was just sharing little fun facts about each other.
I was dying to ask him about what he said earlier. Ive seen so much death, I could never imagine doing what you did the other day.
I know he was dying to ask me a lot of questions too, but everything was going so well I dont think either of us wanted to push the limit.

"Have you ever been in love?" I dont know why I just asked that question. I guess we were both asking random questions, and it just popped out. I didnt even know if he had a girlfriend. Not that it mattered, but I would like to know for curiosity and stuff. He got a little uncomfortable but still answered with a smile on his face. I dont think either of us stopped smiling for the last hour. "Umm, nope." He didnt ask me back but I answered anyway. "Me neither," I laughed and he frowned. "Huh?" He asked sitting up in the bench that we havent moved from in hours. "What? Ive never been in love before." He just stared at me. "But youre with David" He thinks Im in love with David? He saw him hit me. How could he think I would love someone like that? "You saw what he did to me. Why would I be in love with someone like that?" He just continues to stare at me before he replied. "I mean, I guess I thought" I continued to look at him, hoping he would go on. "I guess I thought that you loved him. And you stayed with him because you DID love him. And that.. I guess Im just confused now." Well that makes two of us. "I dont love David at all. I stay with him because if I dont, hell hurt me more. Maybe even.. I dont know.." Joe got a pained look on his face, and thats when I knew I should stop. "Hey, remember when you said youve.. Seen a lot of death and stuff?" I asked, not daring to look him in the eyes. "Look, its getting late, we should probably just head back home, okay?" I was content with that. I guess its okay if he doesnt want to talk about it. I was dreading the fact that I have to go home, because its that much closer that Ill have to face David. Great
