20/20 - My Secret Self Pt.3

A report on some of the youngest transgender kids, including a six-year-old girl who was born a boy, a 10-year-old boy who lives as a girl and a 16-year-old-boy who was born a girl. Barbara Walters talks to these transgender children, all diagnosed with gender identity disorder (GID), as well as to their parents, who are allowing their children to live in the gender they identify with in order to save them from a future of heartache and pain. They are sharing their personal stories to increase future understanding of transgendered children.

GID is a genetic disorder that forms in the first trimester of pregnancy. it is caused by repeat length polymorphism in the androgen receptor. This causes the gender related centres of the brain to develop opposed to the sex of the body. no amount of forcing gender roll or taking hormones can change that.The child was born a girl with an unfortunate gender disorder that can't be seen.I'd love to see the pope tell a 5 year old they are a imoral and a pervert... I'll box him in the face

I hate how all those parents think that pink is for girls and blue is for boys. that is stereotyping and makes them kind of bad parents

people stop being so fuckin ignorant, these kids were born with a female brain pattern and a male sex organ. period! this is a serious problem that needs surgical corrections

these kids with GID show to be really conscious and wise and smart.. they start thinking deep thoughts when they're just 2 o 3 years old.. when they're so fragile!

@ricosuavable I don't usally waste my time, but I'll say to you, You aren't listening! I hope that you are able to get over yourself and I hope your parents weren't too mean to you. I hope that they were with you, are with you. But, until you put your ears on, stay the hell away from my children!
