Macintosh Performa 6400/180 Demonstration

The owner of this computer finally upgraded to a new iMac a few weeks ago, so this old computer ended up in my collection. It's in very good condition and working well. I also received all of the manuals, software discs and "other stuff" that came with it when it was new.
After all of these years, it has only needed one repair--its original hard drive was suffering from stiction problems, so I changed it in 2005.

@uxwbill when I saw that I could not resist taking it home. Mary Chapin Carpenter I listened to when I was little in the 1990s along with Garth Brooks, Neil McCoy, Little Texas, Shenandoah, George Strait, and many others. Country music has been a part of my life from an early age.

Looks like the owner reused an older monitor and speakers. Those AppleDesign speakers if I recall sell for big bucks on ebay for some reason.

my sharp xflat has srs and simulate surround. i have no idea what they do but simulate sounds better i thik.

@james42519 The SRS processing that I'm familiar with does a few different things--it performs equalization to boost bass or make the speakers seem larger, and it also provides stereo image expansion.

I actually have a positive match on that CD now, its Mary Chapin Carpenter Party Doll And Other Favorites. As of a little while ago I actually own that particular disc. Found it at a garage sale for $1 in excellent condition.
