See the Pizzaman Al Pawlowicz spinning The Worlds most Famous Pizza.
Oh yea and the tastiest. He didn't mess with the pizzeria's charmingly low-rent decor. "I added the round tables, and an air conditioner. Other than that, the place is identical to what it was."

Which leaves us with one question: If the reviewer says bad things about the pizza, does he get whacked?

Not to worry, because Pizzaland's pie is surprisingly good. It's a different kind of pizza, with a distinct, slightly sweet sauce and a lighter, but still chewy, dough. And it's less greasy than usual.

"It's a different type of flour,

How different?

"I'd rather not say," he said cagily. "The dough is not as heavy as other places. That's why I think you get more flavor with the sauce."

A regular plain pie is $9; a large, $10. Toppings are $1 each for half a pie, $2 for a whole. Pizzaland also offers a "double dough" pie, about halfway between a regular and a Sicilian, for $12. You can get your pizza any way you want here, and they won't send someone from the family to tell you otherwise.

"You want it light crust, medium crust; light on the sauce, heavy on the sauce; crispy, well-done; light on the oregano, heavy on the oregano; easy on the cheese, heavy on the cheese -- ask for it any way you want.
Al Pawlowicz, ship pizzas all over the country.

"I get crazy people from all over the place," "This one guy in Florida ordered 18 pizzas the last time. He's nuts."

The menu also includes sausage sandwiches or Italian hot dogs ($3.50 single, $5.50 double), meatball and chicken parm sandwiches ($6 half, $8.50 whole), plus salads, wings, mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders. But you go to Pizzaland for the pie. "Pizza to die for!" proclaims the menu.

It's a hole-in-the-wall, but a famous hole-in-the-wall, and the pizza is worth the trip from anywhere in Tony Soprano-land. And no, you don't have to show up in a limo.
