hay i want to know what check disk really is i mean i seen it before but every time i do i like freak out will it harm anything on my computer because after it happened and when it went to the desk top everything was gone so i turned it off and turn it back on and stooped the disk check then everything was there aging

@darknessthehedgehog3 I added this to my list of videos to make, but in summary disk check looks to see if there is data where it is supposed to be on the drive based on the file system table. Behavior like you saw indicates you did have an issue with the file system, or the hard drive itself. Sometimes though the repair will correct things in a way that damages existing content. You always want to make a backup of your files before performing a check disk.

@darknessthehedgehog3 Check Disk does not determine if something is a virus or not, just if the file is intact and where it is supposed to be according to the file system table.

Bigger than shit!! Once I tried to run disk defragmenter and I got error, run chkdisk or scan disk. I went to a website, and used "guided help" . A big green arrow came up and clicked on everything automatically for me. Pages of black and white screens rolled for about 1 hour. It fixed it.
I don't have "run". I like the windows flag & R, haven't tried it. Also, I right clicked on C Drive, and there was the "fix errors" u showed in this vid. Nice upload 5 stars, favorited.

Great!! I tried windows flag + R and there was run. I have my puter hooked to a 52' inch TV and I can't see all the way around the edge and it sometimes causes problems when the clicky isn't visible. I'm afraid to mess with the screen resolution cuz I messed it up once. Thanx for your vids I'll check them out.
Right now I just downloaded Malwarebytes cuz I had a terrible trojan. I also want to download DVDFlick to burn movies to a DVD for free. Cheers!!

Seems alot of people are finding the keyboard shortcuts to be useful. I'll add to my list a video all on shortcuts. Hopefully I'll be able to work on some new videos after all this snow.
