This is a video just on my thoughts about Wicca and a few suggestions for reading material for those who are interested in it.

Books I mentioned:

The Complete Book of Witchcraft by Raymond Buckland

Wicca: The Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham

Solitary Witch by Silver Raven Wolfe

To Ride a Silver Broomstick by Silver Ravenwolfe

  • I wish spells could really be done.

  • I appreciate your open minded approach to Wicca, I was wondering if you had any thoughts on Thelema? I myself think Mr. Crowley was off his rocker, but some of the principals seem earnest enough... So I was wondering from a Wiccan perspective where you stood on the matter

  • @Amber2hawk No no no. I didn't say that it was. I think you misunderstood me. :)

    It's OK - happens a lot.

  • I think what people seem to be forgetting is that one CAN be PAGAN and mix religions if one wishes. It doesn't take away from the validity of anyones practice to say Pagan instead of trying to fit Wicca into another mold.

  • @ohmyynicole I would suggest that you take your time in studying Wicca before deciding to become Wicca. Wicca is a fertility religion at its core so the feminine is too important to leave out.

  • @MsBlackTie Careful, the Christian attitude is meant to try to do just that. ~snickersnort~ >;-p

  • @celticbattleaxe No, Wicca isn't an ancient religion. Based off of and being in and of itself are two very different things.

  • @TheRushingWind I'd call them closet Dianic Wiccans using Christian figures as gods. Christians worship one god, the only god, and generally accept it as male. The follow Jesus and go by what they claim are his words and teachings which do not include a goddess. When they include a goddess they are blasphemous and not following Christianity.

  • @JudasDrankTears Hmm... personally I'd suggest keeping your beliefs to yourself and practice visually... that is in your mind. I lived with my husbands family for 20 years and had to do things this way as they were all Southern Baptists. In a few years you will be out and able to make your own choices and actively participate. Keep a journal if you like to help keep yourself on track but past that try your best to keep in their good graces.

  • @celticbattleaxe Yes, Amber K has been publishing for roughly 25 years and and been leading covens for longer. She is sadly over looked. I don't know why. I'd certainly recommend her over Silver any day.
