What are they like with other dogs?

The video is indeed fun to watch and the dog looks fantastic :):)
I found out about the breed only 2 days ago. I was looking for dog with the character of a large dog but not the size! It seems that swedish valls are something like that.
Any recommendations? Anything that I should seriously consider before getting one? Also, any books on valls that you would propose??

Too small to defend the cows they were bred to herd, they were bred to bark loudly. They don't bark incessantly but they do let you know when they are happy, angry, excited, defensive, hungry, etc. It's hard to train this out of them.
They need exercise or they get depressed. They never leave your side. Herding instinct is very strong so they can nip and nudge very small children. I can't imagine a better breed.

Thanks. for the comment. They are truly an amazing breed and I am surprised there are not more of them in the U.S.
