This movie trailer was made for an SOR assignment.
This movie, titled Salvation, is about four people whose destiny is to save the world by spreading the word. These characters are based on the interpretation of the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13) by Jesus. In theory they are the seeds that were strewn by the farmer.
Walt from Gran Torino is the seed that fell on the path and was eaten by the birds. He is the person who heard the word but ignored it.
Sam from Transformers is the seed that fell amongst the rocks. His faith is superficial and he will give up easily.
Batman from the Dark Knight is the seed that fell amongst the weeds. He may be interested but he will not fully commit to spreading or preaching the word.
Carl from Yes Man is the seed which fell in the good soil. He is committed to preaching the word and will continue to do so through tough times.
