I told my friend to listen to this song...he listened for 2 minutes and said..."I don't like it..." I said.."Jussst wait..." I left the room...came back, and he was like "I love it! I like the beat!!" I KNEW he would like this song! NO MATTER WHAT! He ended up dancing to it and listening 19 times.

@FinalSephiroth For me, the build up makes that drop work. You just don't drop into that. And the best part of the first two minutes are the lyrics, really. Makes me laugh every time. "Talking like a jerk, 'cept you are an actual jerk and living proof... sometimes friends are mean." Classic stuff. FUCK THE HATERS. THIS SONG IS PERFECTION.

James Murphy, most average looking guy with the most average sounding name, just makes awesome music. Gotta respect people who put the music first instead of the image. Guy just cuts his hair and wears a nice shirt like he's headed for a day at the office... very plain and businesslike.

@FinalSephiroth Yeah I Agree. You have to appreciate the build up it helps create anticipation for when the song does explode and changes pace.

The first part makes the song imo. I don't understand how some people can only like after 3:00. Sure that's when you go wow, but there's something nice about the subtle beat before that. It's hard for me to not appreciate the whole song.
