@wapitiman100 to have to rebuild it several times. He did do spray in it once got 3235hp at the rear wheels. hes got an account on here @burnbaey12 you want to ask him bout it. he siad he could have turned up the procharger got over 3700hp.

@wapitiman100 454 not that good of a motor unless it's the ls6 that was in the 70 chevelle or it's stroked. It's a low compression motor. Chances are they aren't tapping the potential of the motor they are going for longevity that 454, this 383 will last for years and will never have to be torn down. But you what to know the truth. MY cousin have built a 496 stroker out of a 454 procharged it in a 71 stingray. Got 2633 hp on the dyno. he wanted to push it more but didn't want

@chillen200 Ive seen people push them to over 2000hp in drag cars they don't last long though. there is nothing better than racing past a blown 454 Chevy at 100mph+ on the water. i haven't blown it up yet just freshened it up last week with new rings rest of the engine looked like new

@wapitiman100 You are getting 1200hp out of 244 cubic inches. Something is going to give sooner or later. I have seen guys like you think they have a bullet proof motors. It's going to blow sooner or later and those motors they usually go big. I wouldn't want to be on the boat...

@chillen200 mine cost 10 k to build its a full race engine in my boat nice and light with alloy block 1200hp sits on 7500rpm for hours on end

@wapitiman100 Hope you reallize he probally spent less than 10 grand building this motor. This block will last longer than your toyota. Plan on spending more money on gaskets heads pistons ect.........
