The engine water system has been filled with water and left for 24 hrs, Matt then barrs the engine round with the cylinder cocks open to check for water in the cylinders. With the loco and the crane in the background set up ready to remove the 12 cylinder engine .One of the problems with the Maybach engines is cracked cylinder heads and porous liners, hence the checks.the other viewes are of the original engine in the turning fixture.
