@HOTwheeI Anyways i downgrade my win 7 laptop to windows xp when win 7 gets me tired. I dont really care for the resolution, as far as it will play the game smoothly and not sluggish i'm happy.

I was searching for a video about the Thinkpad T400 just to see it's performance because i'm planning on getting one to play GTA IV and i came across the video its amazing. In my opinion is that this laptop plays GTI IV very nicely? i didn't see any issues? a gaming laptop now in days its probably $1400, and a good in decent shape T400 on ebay right now you can get it for about $400 bucks. So this video convinced me to get the T400.......Good video!

Don't be too blinded by my video. Okay, the T400 is capable of serving a fluid gameplay but don't forget the low resolution (848x480) and the fact that the game only runs fluid while using Windows XP.Furthermore you'll only get a lagging gameplay using Windows 7!

If you are planning to buy a Thinkpad at around 400 bucks you should consider the T500 with ATI 3650 which has a lot more power. But if you are planning to game alot you should not buy a Thinkpad! Any other laptop with AMD A4 or Core i3 and a dedicated gfx card will be even faster and costs around 400 bucks too.

Well it's a Thinkpad that is mainly intended for work. I just tried it and it runs well enough to play a quick round somewhere. I'm happy with it :)
Yes, I'm planning to upgrade to Win7 as soon as the Lenovo final drivers are available but I don't expect any performance gains. GTA4 runs at same speed on my PC no matter if I boot XP or Win7.
