I just listened again and I almost cracked up. Try "Nimrod" from Elgar's Enigma Variations too!

@deino117 i absolutely agree on fantasia too :)

...by Samuel Barber. If you like it - and who doesn't? - another exceptionally sweet piece is "Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis," by Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Well, I would love to play this, but my custom modded gunships in 2142 demo have really spoiled me and ruined me for good for what I expect from dogfight fun. These old prop planes now seem slow, boring, like watching a slow motion movie flying in mollasses, with worse, poor visibility. The cowl, wing wires, wings, block darn near 60 percent of your view.

is the sopwith camel in this game
-
song at the end is "adagio for strings"
-
Does anyone know what the song at the end is?
Yep that's the whole point - it's the dawn of air war. No parachute, flysmy dangerous craft, get in close and aim for the pilot.
It's like saying I won't play an American civil War game because it's about something old.. ;). That's exactly why, it's about how things where done, when it was tough - no computer guidance people had to use their own wits, skill and luck to live.

Yes, it's the twin vickers gun version that was tested briefly by A Sqn 1 Wing RNAS and 10 Squadron RNAS around July 1917.
