Now this is country music the way I heard it as a child in Tucson, Arizona in the late 50's and early 60's. A much better time, and the folks singing and playing had true talent. We need this again.

How come these great performers are neglected today? I don't remember Norma Jean but just discovered her today on You Tube, She was really great!

this vintage clip not only showcases the now forgotten but solid performer Norma Jean but also reminds us of just how talented Buck Trent is.

What they call country music today pales in comparison to the classic country. Sometimes all records sound alike. Back then you could tell a Porter Wagoner record by Buck Trent's electric banjo, a Buck Owens song by Don Rich's Telecaster guitar, or a Conway Twitty song by the growl in his voice. I miss the days when all you had to do was play your guitar, fiddle, banjo, or mandolin, or any other instrument, stand in front of the microphone, and let it rip.

I love Norma Jean! A very underrated singer and a very sweet lady too!

It is humbling to see great country legends age with great quality melodies from their tender youth. Correct, rubbing2000. My papa in Africa used to listen to such and that is how I picked them up as a toddler in the early 80's. I love the black/white pictures too...... NOTHING BEATS ORIGINAL COUNTRY MUSIC (OCM)
