There's been a lot of hooey being spread of late. I don't know what ABC thinks it's doing? I especially don't know what Tony Geary thinks he's doing? What I do know is that there is only ONE true love for Luke Spencer, & her name is Laura. There is only one woman who ruined Luke for other women, & that is his Angel. There is only one lady who was the greatest challenge of his life & that was Lucy Johnson, a.k.a. Laura Webber Baldwin Spencer. The best decision Luke ever made was marrying Laura Baldwin. The television archives proclaim that it's so. There is no Ethan Lovett because the unrevised version of this love story would never have Luke Spencer becoming the ba$t@rd that he always claimed he was, but we knew otherwise. Luke would never, not in a million years, cheat on Laura. The televison repository has that fact recorded for posterity. The only way that Luke's scam of a sham marriage would be accurately portrayed is if Laura were back on canvas, & Luke needed that ammunition to extract himself from the nonsensical partnership he tricked Tracy into. There was a reason that wedding was never shown. It's because Laura is Luke's wife. First. Last. Always. You just have to spend some time in the t.v. history vault to check that fact. You see, there was a vision in the days of Gloria Monty, & it had to do with true love, forgiveness, redemption, respect & honesty. When I bought my ticket 30 years ago to get aboard this ride, it wasn't for the Hooey Express. I got aboard the Magic Carpet Ride. Genie & Tony took me places that I never dreamed of going. It wasn't always fun, games & adventure. Yet, even the gut-wrenching, emotional roller coaster of angst & tragedy I shared with them wasn't a scary place, because they kept me safety strapped in my seat while they took me there. I trusted them to steer me into the darkness because I knew they'd never leave me in it without the promise of a light at the end of that tunnel. They made me believe that love was enduring no matter the obstacles. I knew that the faith I had in them, the trust I put in them & the hope I had for them was safe, because they believed in the story they were telling as much as their fans did. Once upon a time, there was such a thing as Love in the Afternoon. I'm sad that TPTB don't have the integrity to keep it real. I'm disappointed that Tony no longer believes that what he & Genie built in the characters of Luke & Laura was not only a mature but also an enduring love. The best thing Luke has going for him is Laura. I hope Tony can find a way to embrace the legacy again. In the meantime, this is my attempt at washing away all the hooey of late & restoring what the fans have always known. Luke and Laura are the penultimate. Now & forever, nothing else will ever compare to that one, singular love.

  • Thanks so much for making and sharing! Nothing like Luke and Laura... and the amazing acting talent of TG and GF. Amazing actors seperately... but together simply mesmerizing!!

  • @sussezq Thank you for the feedback. They are quite mesmerizing!

  • I like your video very much. I, too, love Secret Garden but was unfamiliar with this song. It has a poignant quality to it that fits perfectly with how fans are feeling over being denied our couple & most importantly, TPTB's refusal to bring her back. I love the pix you added of Genie & JJ in her dressing room. I remember the stories she told about keeping juice boxes in there for him & running lines with him there. I'm not watching the show anymore but Hooey sounds about right! Good job

  • @JhillyBean

    Thank you so much for your comments. I'm sorry that I did not respond sooner. I have been out of town but it's nice to come back and find some words of praise. I love the Genie/Jonathan dressing room picture as well. I appreciate the feedback. If you like SG, I hope you'll like my new video.

  • Oh, Wow! Thank you so much for this! You managed to fit the life story of Luke and Laura into a powerfully compact three minutes and its an amazing tribute. The music makes me cry. I've never heard it before. I think it the choice of it really sums up what the fans are feeling: sad. I loved what you wrote in your description. Hooey is right!

    Beautiful Jujubee! I give you 5 stars *****.

  • @lionessheart39

    You are very welcome. I wanted to get the last 30 years down into something that resembled looking through a photo album. Check out Secret Garden. They have some amazing music, probably one of their most famous is "You Raise Me Up".

    Thank you for taking the time to comment.

  • thank you so very much

  • So whats the deal ? Laura woke up and saved Lulu from Scott. Laura found out that Luke lied about their wedding and she goes to get help at that whatever....with Scott. Is she coming back ? Is it finally over between Luke and her , and is Luke gonna be stuck with Tracy for the rest of his life.

  • The SuperSoap Weekend Picture!! I sat right up front for the show. It was the most amazing day of my life. It was a bucket list moment and I couldn't have asked for any better. They are still amazing to this day.

  • Ah, man. . . this makes me cry, sus. I know it's just TV, but it meant something to a lot of people. I don't think it can be destroyed, not really. And, there is always the look in Luke's eyes after Laura gets on the plane in 2008.

  • TG has always toed the company line. Yes, he is the best actor in daytime, hands down. But he has, how shall I say this, hmmmmmmm.... let's just say what the company wants is more important than what Should be. GF, however, has always remained faithful, and will, in fact has more than once, put her foot down, leaving if necessary. Course, I've always primarily been a Laura fan anway. :-}

  • Wonderful! my favorite couple of all time. Tony Geary and Genie Francis had a special chemistry that has never been duplicated. They are very talented actors. I must give credit to Gloria Monty for the storyline, and the ability to recognize their chemistry together. GH needs to wake up and bring Laura. Thanks for everything.
