  • Was that You playing "Tityre" in the beginning of this video Nina? I love that work I haven't played it in sooo long!

  • yes, that was me playing tityre.

  • I want some perspective on my tone, Is there a lot of mic interference during these lessons? (I guess levels can be adjusted during the lesson to get the best pickup)

  • dear flutetube: I can hear sound quality very well and I work with students on sound quality a lot in these webcam lessons.

  • interesting idea, web cam lessons. How has this worked for you?

  • @fluterific00 I had a stint with a voice teacher who gives online lessons. As long as your Internet speed is good and you have a good mic, there really is little to complain about. It's almost like being in the same room! I think Skype lessons with music teachers are the wave of the future.

  • i need help bigtime but i have zero experience i have a flute

  • I did pick my flute up again for the first time since before 7th grade ended for me. I'm now 21 so last time i really played regularly was when I was 13. Now all I remember how to play now are scales. You seem like a really good flute teacher! How long have you been playing?

  • (cont.) of a song that we were learning and it was almost always because the trumpets weren't doing their part right. I know she'd get after them for not tonguing their notes really good and for not making their 8th notes short.

  • I used to play flute in 6th and 7th grade but then I kinda gave up on it after that. I was really good. I guess it was my 7th grade music teacher that got to me. I know she had been known to sometimes lose her patience sometimes. I know she did with me. But my school counselor talked to her about it after my Dad told her what was going on and my band teacher was really cooperative about it. I felt kinda bad for the trumpets tho because she was almost always stopping the band in the middle

  • hey ive play the part that the guy of ten years old was doing! what was it? i dont remember

  • Would you teach recorder?...either soprano or tenor.

  • Cool.

There are no boundaries for music.
