That boat had been there for a long long time at least 3 years i know of as i grew up in ladysmtih thats not the first nor the last boat fire you will see in that section of beach

I'm figuring that the boat was derelict and had been there for awhile. Are there situations where the FD would go ahead and let it burn if it was considered an eyesore? Seems like it would be easier to dispose of the ashes than a whole boat.
