@kinshasaAPP For most basses you can change the action with an Allen wrench. No need to pay for someone else to do it!

Thanks a lot. The bass has been setup for me with ultra low action thats all. I think the Pandora also has a lot to do with the sound I am getting. An amazing bit of kit for the money.

I'm about to buy a Squire Jazz as my first bass, but I hear they have high action. Is lowering it costly? Also, how wouldy our jazz be for someone slightly smaller than average size, as far as neck length goes? I know it's neck is nice and thin...

I think the factory set action can be pretty variable from guitar to guitar. It cost me about £30 ($50) to get mine lowered. But its well worth getting it done. Makes it so much easier to play.
I think the length of the Jazz neck should be OK. After all, there is only 20 frets compared to 22 or 24 on other bass models.
