Apparently you only watched the Florida matches between them.

Graf won all popularity polls against Sabatini even in the early 90s. Don't get confused by several hundreds of vociferous Sabby fans at certain matches!

But now and then I comment on posts where fans suggest their fave were "the best ever" or "had the best forehand ever" and such.

The reason I said you seem threatened is because you feel the need to reply to any comment where people like other players - even when Graf is not mentioned. Just an observation.

You brought popularity into this not me. I simply answered your post.

I do not regard Graf as the best ever and, as you well know from the debates we had elsewhere, I can more than make my case for it.

So, since you replied to me... "live with it" made a heck of a lot more sense when I said it.

And the answer to that is: not in the slightest. You might as well boast that she wears a bigger shoe size or takes a bigger dump in the morning. Its such an absurd statement to make, I wanted to give you the scenic route first, but since my points fell on deaf ears, here is your direct response.

No... I stated that popularity is an irrelevant factor. Plenty of amazing players that were not particularly popular.

Also, I pointed out the flaw in the way you discounted Kournikova's popularity.

Being the best and being most popular are not necessarily the same thing, and often they are totally unrelated.

I have no idea why you get so threatened when someone likes another player than your idol, but I would suggest you learn to live with it.
