Rules for reading a danish name is:

firstname, middlename(s) or no middlename, surname or no surname

- in that sequence.

Now having learned the rules for danish names the "K." is simple - it is the shortened version of his 2nd middlename.

Following the same rules, "Alvin" is his 1st middlename.

I liked the bit - "My name is Per Alvin and my nickname is Mr Alvin"

I noticed some Chinese people do that - when you tell them your name - they add Mr to your first name (what the heck you think - not worth correcting it)

Had to Google it - and Per Alvin K. Frederiksen - throws up another mystery - what is the K. for?
