Yep, unfortunately I was downsized. The phrasing was almost exactly the same as the words I put in Bill Lumbergh's mouth in the video. I even put a clue in the credits (Written by IRL [In Real Life] Scripts, Ltd.).
No biggie though. I've got two promising interviews lined up this coming week, and both of them are much closer than my old job. No more 2 hours of driving per day for me!
So yeah, the video was poking fun at my own situation. Catharsis made me feel better.

LOL! That's just how you feel after 10 years of playing Sisyphus and then getting escorted to the front gate as thanks for a job well done.
The funnier thing is the guys that fired me called me last week (after laying me off a month before) & wanted me to do more work for them on an outsource basis. I refused, hung up, and laughed my huge ass off.
