@dynamicbicycles Well, in that case, I must apologize for rushing in with the comment (I wasn't trying to sully your product's reputation, I was misinformed). If that is the case, I'm a follower :) Keep up the good work guys, for a daily commuter like myself, no chain and clean gears are a true 'godsend'!

@dynamicbicycles With your full suspension bike the downfall is that you can only use a ust design unless you use a 2 piece drive shaft that could suffer dirt getting into it.

re super @TheBadger1957
I love coaster brakes. You just have to get used to them, plus they are super durable.

@VRfaces7 I think most Americans don't know that 'back pedal brakes' are illegal in Europe as they are considered dangerous. Having ridden them in the US, I think I know why, crazy idea.

I have had a Sussex driven off road bike for about 5 years. Not enough is made of how good these are for off-road, I can choose any gear, any time, and happily cycle through foot deep puddles and mud, when I get home I just hose off the bike. The only maintenance I do is a squirt of grease every 6 months. Fantastic.

I live in the Kitchener area in Ontario, Canada, where can I buy a bike like this?

A shaft drive bike would make a great fixie

Hi Patrick, can we extent the lenght of the shaft to meet different sizes of wheels? In case we cannot, do we have chainless mtb 29ers? And the last question, can I have a chainless bike shipped to Brazil?
The shafts are in set sizes as they are made for specific frames. I do not have a 29er in the line up, although it is worth considering. I do have a full susp. and hard tail 26 inch mtb. We also don't ship to Brazil at this time. Sorry not many yes answers today!

I love your bike range. I just wish they were cheaper.
Also, there must be some maintenance on the drive of these bikes. It seems like it would be difficult to get to the shaft and gears to lube and replace.

@jillybooty There is another video that deals with this issue, but it is very easy to lube the gears. It can be done in less than 30 seconds. The shaft drive has a zerk fitting. All you have to do is pop a grease gun on and give it 2 to 3 squirts. The gears are very precise so they only need a light coating periodically. There is no mess and no tool required. The rear gears are accessed by removing the dust cover. They rarely need grease, but the gears are easy to get to. Thanks for the question

What they don't tell you is that you cannot pedal backwards (the rear wheel locks as for braking), often times needed in traffic for adjusting your feet position/balance, avoiding hitting the curb with your pedal and so on... And should you pedal while changing gears, in time, you'll ruin the internal hub. It's simpler, yeah, but I for one don't like it (tried it on my dad's bike).

@VRfaces7 - Thanks for taking the time to comment on our video. However, you can backpedal on our bikes. The Shimano hubs on Dynamic's bicycles are freewheel hubs so you can coast and backpedal at any time. In addition, you can shift while pedaling on our bikes. The gears in the Shimano hubs are forged and heat treated and designed for long term abuse. In fact they are designed to last 2-3 times longer than external gear components. Thanks for giving us a chance to clarify. - Patrick, Owner
