Buffalo Airways' DC-3 (mfg 1942) C-FLFR takes off just before noon on December 21, 2007, enroute to Fort Good Hope with another load of fuel.

  • The cold air must have something to do with the sharp sound made by the props....Ive never heard it that loud on DC3 takeoffs in warmer air....

  • You're right about that, they're snarly when it's cold. This was taken when it was about -30*C.

  • So cool! I just saw one on floats here at youtube.Didn't know they put them on DC3's.I knew a guy who flew one for Points North Air. Beautiful bird they are.
