@jessicasm1995 Yes he was. I met him. What an awesome human being! Now he's playing his bent trumpet with the angels ... ;-) You go, Dizzy! Play that heavenly melody so loud that everybody can hear it. Allah'u'Abha
Without complete textual references there are people out there who use defamation as a tool to attack what they know not. The Bahá'í Faith is not immune to defamation.
The fanatical Muslim clergy in Iran kills Bahá'ís for their beliefs while the Bahá'ís try to champion those same beliefs in the free world... after years of endless oppression.
Simple defamation will not stop the people with eyes from seeing what is.
-- Symbolical language by B-u-L is no use because Baha'is are not permitted to "interpret" anything (that is, not permitted to understand or think). I don't "rubbish" his symbolical language. I rubbish the Baha'is who want to put it forward for atmospherics and effect, without offering any understanding of it. I mock their metaphysical shallowness and contentment with atmospherics and no meaning.
@BookOfFlaws When Baha'u'llah uses symbolic and spiritual language, you rubbish Him. When He issues Laws in a straightforward manner you rubbish Him.
This is a symbolic term.
So the symbol of knowledge is light, and of ignorance, darkness; but reflect, is knowledge sensible light, or ignorance sensible darkness? No, they are merely symbols. These are only intellectual states, but when you desire to express them outwardly, you call knowledge light, and ignorance darkness.

Some may wish to destroy the power of love and faith,
but to each his own light.
Some may wish to carry a candle, another a flashlight,
another a torch, another a beaming lazer lamp that crosses the universe.
To each his own light, as long as they carry it with love.

Bahá'ís stand for peace, love and unity.
The book is open for everyone to see.
