  • Okay, Ray, here's a question from an inquiring mind who wants to know: What relation, if any, is Jeff Christie to fellow British singer Tony Christie? I had been under the impression that it was Tony who fronted the Christie band, but apparently I was wrong. Are Jeff and Tony related, and if so, how? Thanks in advance for the information.

  • @ejslurb2007 There is NO relation whatsoever. Tony is a merely a singer ala Tom Jones who sings songs given to him, Jeff Christie is the singer/songwriter of the pop band Christie who wrote all the hits they recorded. Pirate lyric sites around the world wrongly attribute Jeff's hits to Tony, thus perpetuating the myth. Those who know the deep voice of Tony can tell immediately it's not him singing the songs of the band Christie. For more information, see the Christie website.
