  • I believe you are right sir. A lot of fenton out there.

They seem to have a certain look about them.

I like the styles. Thanks for the good words ssj.

  • Thanks Grizz, I'm not glowin' yet, so it's low dose. lol. I saw a site on ebay

that sells vaseline rods. Kinda expensive.

Barber shops used them for hair tonics, splashes and the like.

Some pretty ones out there. Hope to show some hand painted

and others I have before long.

  • Sounds like Cleveland from the family guy!

  • Do you collect, or do you know anyone who collects the little glasses called Swanky Swigs? They came with cheese spread, etc. in them. I have a big collection and would like to see some other folks collections too. LOVE your Vaseline glass barber bottles! I've always been fascinated by vaseline glass.

  • Hey Andy, thanks for the shoutout

    they're some Beauties you have

we use to collect Vaseline, Opalescent & Vaseline Opalescent glass

the one on the Right looks like Fenton \ Wright Vaseline (topaz) Opalescent Daisy & Fern

without the Daisy the pattern was called seaweed

the one on the Left looks like Fenton \ Wright Vasoline Opalescent Rib Optic

if they are Fenton they wont be marked they were made for Wright Glass

Fenton liked to copy the patterns of Hobbs, Northwoods, Jefferson Glass

  • Wow those bottles are amazing! Thanks for the shout out! With Uranium Oxide is there any radiation? Do you have to be careful with their storage? I use metallic oxides in my raku firing. Never thought of trying uranium oxides, that may be some terrific results especially with the uv glow! I will have to do some research and see if I can not pull something off with this Uranium Oxides if it is not too dangerous to handle! Very exciting! What did they put in those bottles?

  • I like those bottles...

  • Great old bottles! Beautiful! WooHOO!!
