It's NOT about oil, people. Canada has enough oil to supply the US for 100 yrs at our current rate of consumption, and Saudi Arabia, not Iraq, holds the bulk of Mid-Eastern oil. And even if it was about oil, would that be any kind of reason to disrespect the dead? This IS a fight for freedom; there are people out there with a deep hatred of western values. To any one who thinks 9/11 was a one time thing, or some sort of a fluke, it wasn't. Read about the philosophy of radical Islam.

Thank you...and for you fishguy967...I dont know about the other Soldiers but I know I fight for what makes this country and it sure as hell isnt oil...its the idea of freedom. To protect and serve the people of the U.S. I would rather die then see anyone live in fear of terror. And if I am told to deploy to Afgan??? I would pick my rifle up and leave my family again and again just to know they are safe.
