Man, I was only buying MagLite LEDs, but then I decided to try a coast (the one I bought sucked, but I still got it), and then i ventured out with some Rayovac lights. They're NICE...I got the 2AA indestructible LED and the 3C indestructible LED...these are some nice lights to compete with maglite....the 2AA indestructible only has 2 modes but it's brighter than the mini maglite and lasts just a little shorter, and on low, it is brighter and lasts just as long....not bad lights at all i'd say

@cutlerylover I think it's the same, I have both and can't tell the difference btwn the mini on high power and the 3AA....the 3AA doesn't even have the additional options but I imagine there's a longer run time than the 2 AA, that's probably the main selling point (and it's like $5 cheaper)

ive got the 3 watt version bat life is still really good it a great flashlight it accually used by the chinese police

Honestly, those aren't even close to the truly high-quality lights which are out there. Those big, standard-issue, police flashlights are actually inexpensive. They have to be. Otherwise, they'd put too much strain on the city budget to issue them to the police officers. And, the rechargeable ones many police officers have also represent old technology. They're pretty inexpensive to.
I don't want to seem to promote an outside forum on youtube. Please check your PM inbox.

Most of them don't. It's mainly Maglites and a few cheaper models. The better quality flashlights don't have adjustable beams. That's because they don't need them to be adjustable. Nice, smooth, beam with no dark circles or artifacts.

I've got the 3watt version. It's actually a re-bagded Nuwai model. Energizer now has their own version of this light. (Silver, rounded edges making the light less sharp at the head, no clip, clicky tailcap switch instead of momentary. Sold at Target.)
My ROV version is very nice. Tailcap boot rotates 360-degrees in place. Not a major issue. But yeah, beam isn't really adjustable.

lol there was a walmart ad while I was watching this

would "horizontal loop" be for a molle clip?
-
horrozontal carry is for molle webbing on tactical vests
I just bought the same light today for $15 on clearance at walmart. Dude, I bought it because of this review and your review just doesn't do it justice. Not that it was bad, but the light in the video just doesn't compare with it in real life. I've never had an LED light and the second I turned this on I was like DAYUUMMM! Thanks for hooking me on to this light! It's amazing for the price

hey jeff, sweet vid, do you know of any tactical flashlights that are decently powerfull and have a perminant on/off like youd find on a standard maglite? potential as a kubaton would be a big plus.
thanks

jedininjapirate713 3 years ago
Yes this is about the same output as the new stock Mag LED's....the 2AA version anyway, the mag 3AA LED might be brighter...
