@mustangwner2003V6 Many years ago, I worked in a roadhouse whose towtruck was an '83 model F350. It had that standard 4 speed, but a long stroke version of the Australian Ford Falcon 250 cubic inch 6 cylinder. Some will say "get a V8" for a serious towtruck, but this one managed to pull a 2 trailer road train up a 20 degree incline, in second gear. That's 2 full length cattle trailers

aww hell buddy, there aint no need fer a catylitic nor a muffler. my '87 s10 blazer aint got either one, just the shell's of the once there ones. and the exhaust is cut infront of the back axle. cherrybomb's slogan might be disturbing the peace since '68, but mine's pissin' off the neighbors. since I first turned the key. HAHA!!!

I don't have the tools to build my own block/heads/ect.. Would be nice.
Sure you can find all the parts by parts..
but in the end if you correctly build your motor - that means with all the parts and bolt on's yes that can run you 30 grand very easy.
BTW - I love v8's Just hate people who think BC- of a lack of two cylinders its going to be slow. which in fact they are not anywhere near slow. but think what you want.
Figured something out with these motors. They aren't running right unless they are trundling down the road sounding like an old duce and a half, drinking gas, and leaking oil like a sieve. Not terribly fast but got the power to pull a house off its foundations.
I've got developed some serious respect for mine.
