@bapyou Well, @Luarionte is correct in the sense that there is no such thing as a British accent; there is a British DIALECT. Accent is colloquially used to describe regional dialects, but an "accent" actually describes the traces of your mother language left when you speak another language. A German accent, etc. Meanwhile, "a Southern accent" is incorrect.

Well, that's a fucking lie. There are numerous British accents, just as there are numerous American accents. Liverpool, London East End, Midlands, Scottish ... all are British English accents. And accent in Britain is often indicates class. I'm not British, but I've been told by native Brits one can tell where someone lives, what kind of car he or she drives, and how much they have in a bank account, all from listening to their accent.
