With a near miss when one of the steward's nearly "caught the caber" we present a snippet of Kilmore Games 2009 - near Oban. For all the thrills and spills of the Kilmore and Kilbride Games The Oban Times has specially recorded the Caber Tossing Competition.
Watch world heavy weigh Scottish champions compete against Canadian newcomers.

It was a record breaking day at the Kilmore and Kilbride Highland Games and not only for the sunshine.

In bright sunlight an international crowd saw youngsters and veterans take part in all the usual Highland Games fayre with a local flavour of Haggis Hurling and Pillow Fighting. But with record breaking attempts by local youngsters the games are also a training ground for athletes.
Three burly-men, John Jans, Berle Conrad and Shaun Borelan, from Ontario spent their last day in Scotland competing at the heavy weight events. The Canadian men who compete at events throughout north America said there was nothing like the Scottish crowd.
