  • great harmonies, and great control of singing and playing at the same time and that with swaying mikes, and probably little if no stage monitors.

  • this band should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

  • @glaetze We were sooo robbed of their music here in the US. They were on Sullivan in April 1964 which is when I first saw them, after listening to them out of Canada on CKLW in the wee hours. The Sullivan performance is here on YT. They performed Needles & Pins, but the audio quality was bad because it was live and John's amplifier failed. At least I think it's hear, unless the Sullivan people have yanked it. The Searchers did an amazing performance in spite of it.

  • @glaetze the moody blues couldnt get on ed sullivan because of some visa hang up a decade after ed sullivan wnewfm was playing ed sullivan tapes not yet available to the public billy j. kramer did a benefit concert from the ed sullivan theater for world hunger year he said the dressing room is still the same they film the david letterman show in the ed sullivan theater the pretenders were on 3 times its in youtube and the beach boys too who were on ed sullivan

  • So many Beatleses

  • @ivan89705 nonsense

  • did the lead player screw up ?? Looks like he started to play a solo over the Lead vocal and the beginning of the 1st tune... Lively perf. nonetheless!!!
